The International Conference on Metal Materials and Processing (ICMMP 2026) will be held in Changsha, Hunan Province, China, from May 15 to 17, 2026, sponsored by Central South University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. International Conference on Metallic Materials and Processing (ICMMP) has been held successively in Australia, the United States, Hong Kong, China, and Xi'an, China.
Currently, the accelerating convergence of new material development, intelligent manufacturing, and green processing technologies is driving the transformation of the metal materials industry, while presenting challenges in enhancing material performance and optimizing processing techniques. This conference gathers global materials scientists, engineers, industry leaders, and policy experts to establish a cross-disciplinary international exchange platform. Discussions will center on innovative directions in materials science, exploring key topics such as superalloys and lightweight composite materials, while focusing on breakthroughs in processing technologies, including in-depth research on precision forging and additive manufacturing. Aimed at building a bridge for deep industry-academia-research collaboration, ICMMP 2026 seeks to translate cutting-edge technologies from laboratories to production lines.
We cordially invite participants worldwide to jointly explore innovative pathways in metal materials and processing, tackle technical bottlenecks, and propel the advancement of an efficient, green, and sustainable metal materials industrial ecosystem.
Changsha, a cultural anchor in central China, carries 3,000 years of enduring civilization. Painted lacquerware and silk from the Mawangdui Han Tombs capture the brilliance of the Han Dynasty, while Yuelu Academy preserves millennia of Eastern educational wisdom.
Blending antiquity with modernity: Orange Isle overlooks the surging Xiang River, offering sweeping views of the vast skyline; Wuyi Square’s bustling precincts thrum with urban energy. A UNESCO "City of Media Arts," Changsha roots in Xiang-Chu culture while blending innovative expression. Spicy, rich Hunan cuisine and warm, inclusive local life let every visitor feel the city’s unique texture.
We invite global participants to experience this harmony of past and present beyond the conference.
